Dufaximin 550

Dufaximin 550 mg film – coated tablets 

Each film coated tablet contains rifaximin 550 mg 

Dufaximin is indicated for the reduction in recurrence of episodes of overt hepatic encephalopathy in patient > 18 years of age 

There is no or limited data from the use of dufaximin in pregnant woman 

As precautionary measure use of rifaximin during pregnancy is not recommended 

Dose 

1 tablet 550 mg two times a day for hepatic encephalopathy 

1 tablet 550 mg three times a day for 14 days for Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS-D)
